I’m a human-centered interaction designer. I try my best to practice human-centered design approaches in any project I’m involved, striving to produce experience-enriching solutions grounded in the empathy for people and understanding of the problem space.
I believe good design comes out of not only human-centered methods and process, but also the understanding of the nature and rigor of design itself, as well as a supportive and collaborative environment.
I am and want to forever be a constant-learning designer, who grows everyday through practice, reflection, and the interaction with everything/everybody around with an open mind.
I came to the United States from China to pursue my love for interaction design upon the completion of my Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2008. I was lucky enough to spend two years at Indiana University-Bloomington studying the subject I’m passionate about. After I got my Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction Design, I joined Adobe Systems as a UX designer.
Outside of my profession, I enjoy anything related to creation. I like doing all kinds of hand crafts, and recently got into the hobby of jewelry making. You can see what I have done here. I also really like photography, good food, and playing piano.
I’m very grateful for my Chinese heritage, which gives me a valuable perspective on things while studying and being a designer in another culture.
I keep a design blog "All About Design - Practice and Reflection"
